For many generator owners, Propane is the primary fuel source for their generators. Because propane is stored in tanks and must be refilled manually when the fuel level becomes low, understanding the fuel level information for the propane tank that supports a homeowner's generator can be crucial to ensuring the generator will run in the event of a power outage. Fortunately, the Generac LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor (aka: Tank Utility) can be added to Mobile Link and can help ensure that the level information is easily accessible

To add a Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor using the Mobile Link website:
- Before starting the process, please ensure the desired Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor is installed on the propane tank that is used to supply the generator prior to adding it to your Mobile Link account.
- Open a web browser and navigate to App.mobilelinkgen.com then login to Mobile Link.
- The Mobile Link Generator Overview screen will appear, click the icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Add A Tank from the menu that displays.
- The Add a Tank wizard will appear. Enter the 8-digit Tank Device ID for the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor, then click NEXT.
Note: The Tank ID is an 8-digit number that can contain both letters and numbers and is printed on a small label located on the back of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor. The number is also printed on a small label located on the side of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor's packaging. - Enter a unique name for the tank that is being added and verify the address information. If needed, click the icon to edit or update the selected address, then click NEXT.
- Provide fuel type information and the orientation of the Tank that is being added, then click NEXT.
Note: Fuel type and tank orientation information is used to ensure accurate level information is reported. This variation requires modification to the information that is provided by the monitor. If This information is not provided accurately, incorrect reading information may be reported. - Click the icon and specify the capacity of the tank that is being added, then click NEXT.
Note: Tank capacity information is used to ensure accurate level information is reported. This variation requires modification to the information that is provided by the monitor. If This information is not provided accurately, incorrect reading information may be reported - Using the video provided, confirm the successful installation and communication of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor, then click NEXT.
- An initial tank level reading should display. Check the fuel level listed on the physical propane tank dial, to ensure the reading is displaying accurately. If the information is displaying accurately, click LOOKS GOOD.
Note: If for any reason the tank level is not showing accurately, click Verify Tank Reading to adjust the tank level information. This will ensure the tank level is adjusted to display correctly in the app. - Please provide information regarding how the propane is being consumed from the tank that is being added, then click NEXT.
Note: Tank usage information is used to improve how Mobile Link products are developed and improved. - Optionally, enter the name of the Fuel Supplier that provides Fuel for this tank, then click FINISH SETUP.
- Verify or Enter Billing Information for the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor if needed, then click SAVE PAYMENT INFORMATION.
Note: The credit card information provided will NOT be billed for this initial enrollment, the full first year of Tank Monitoring service is FREE! Billing information provided in this step is used for all Mobile Link Subscription charges. Any Generators or Tanks that are enrolled in this mobile link account will use this billing information for any future renewals or charges. - The Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor has now been successfully added using the Mobile Link website.
To add a Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor using the Mobile Link app:
- Before starting the process, please ensure the desired Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor is installed on the propane tank used to supply the generator, before adding it to a Mobile Link account.
- Download, Install, and open the Mobile Link for Generators App from the Google Play Store or Apple Appstore, then click Sign In or Sign up to login to the Mobile Link App.
- The Mobile Link Generator Overview screen will appear, tap the icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Add A Tank from the menu that displays.
- The App may request access to take pictures and record video, tap Allow.
Note: Camera permissions are required to allow the capture of a QR code containing device information. camera access I not used for any other purposes by the Mobile Link App. - A QR Code capture window will appear. Align the visible box area with the QR code that is located on the back of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor.
Note: If the Tank ID QR Code is inaccessible or unable to be successfully scanned, tap the Add a Tank Device Manually option. This will allow for the manual entry of the Tank ID information. The Tank ID is an 8-digit number that can contain both letters and numbers and is printed on a small label located on the back of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor. The number is also printed on a small label located on the side of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor's packaging. - After scanning, the Verify Tank Name & Address screen will automatically appear. Enter a unique name for the tank that is being added and verify the address information. If needed, click the icon to edit or update the selected address, then tap NEXT.
- Provide fuel type information and the orientation of the Tank that is being added, then tap NEXT.

- The app will automatically redirect to a web browser to allow for the final setup of the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor. Login to Mobile Link on the web browser.
- After logging into Mobile Link using the web browser, it may be necessary to scroll down to locate the Tank that requires setup completion. Locate the tank and tap Finish Setup.
- Verify or Enter Billing Information for the Generac/Tank Utility LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor if needed, then click SAVE PAYMENT INFORMATION.
