Mobile Link 2.17.0 Release
March 29th, 2022
New Feature:
- Virtual Power Plant (VPP)
- Notifications are sent via text, push, and email when a VPP event is scheduled to take place or has started.
- There will be a link in each notification that will lead the user to their Mobile Link app and give them the option to:
- Opt-out of the event or
- If the event has started to stop the generator
- There will be a new tab in their generator card on Mobile Link that will show the events that have occurred as well as the ability to opt-out or stop their generator.
Note: This is for Mobile Link Premium (paid) users within specific utility markets and is a program being run through Generac Grid Services (GGS). Connectivity partnered with GGS to bring an insightful user experience through the Mobile Link app so homeowners participating would know when an event would occur or how to stop their generator in an event.
The features include:
- Within the user's Account Settings, a new toggle to control how the VPP events are delivered or to turn them on/off
- If a Mobile Link user is part of a VPP program, the Cancel subscription and Downgrade to Free Plan button will be hidden as they must have a Paid subscription to be a part of the VPP program. There will be alternative text there stating:
- Virtual Power Plant Participant - to Opt-out of the program, refer to your contract details.
- For more information on a specific program, visit this Generac website: https://www.generac.com/vpp/ercot
Web Features:
- Revert Pending Cancellation:
- If a Mobile Link user cancels their subscription and during the period between when the subscription will run out and the actual cancellation they change their mind, the user can come back into Mobile Link and revert this pending cancellation.
